Mystery 02:56
When did I stop believing in Fantastic dreams, silly schemes, Mystery? I can remember the way I used to believe in, Magic, mystery. Children play a thousand games, They know the rules they know the names. Grownups are confusing me. They play a game called “Reality.” But they’ve forgotten the reasons why. They can’t remember the names. When did I stop believing in Magic, mystery?

I suppose it’s true That he will be much better for you. He’ll learn to make you smile, And Lord knows you need to smile More than you do. I supposed he’ll say, All the things I always wanted to say, But never found the words Just like out love never found the way. Love was like a lonely bird, flying through the sky, Longing for a nest, hoping we would try. I thought we’d meet tomorrow, but then we lost our way Living for tomorrow, we forgot today. I suppose it’s true That he will give you more than I gave you, So much was wrong between us, That when I reached, I never touched you. But now please let me say That if I could go back to that day, I’d do my very best, I still believe that Love could do the rest. Love was like a lonely bird, Flying through the sky. Longing for a nest, and hoping we would try. I thought we’d meet tomorrow, But then we lost our way, Living for tomorrow, We forgot today. Love is still a lonely bird. Flying through the sky Longing for a nest.

On Sunday afternoons, I used to laugh and play so hard With Willy-dog, my really friend. He struck me with his love, And stuck by me no matter who I was. We grew up he and I, Rolling together in the snow and Smelling the spring in Riverside Park. He a daisy locked in a dog, and I an angry child Stuck in a man. Willy was a Doberman, And when he was afraid, well, Willy ran! I tried so hard to teach him to be a man And Willy tried to teach me that love can. Love can. Wonder why love hurts you so? Growing up means letting go; It’s not so easy to do. Funny how sweet Willy always knew. On Sunday afternoon, Sometimes I laugh and watch the children in the Park And I recall a great big silly Willy lark who loved me so He made me grow. On Sunday afternoons, I try to remember that Love can. Love can, on Sunday afternoons.

Can We Try? 03:27
can we try; can we take, that first tenuous step? you and I, can we make that first step a stepping stone to who knows where? but let’s take it one step at a time. heaven knows I’m insecure, and I guess I’m just not sure which way to go, and sometimes I wonder can a person ever know? but if we hold on tight, and if we let our hearts be led, and if we don’t let our fantasies get two steps ahead, can we take, if we try, can we make, you and I, a happy ending off somewhere? who knows? It hasn’t been written yet, but you and I, let’s not live with regret. so let’s try. let’s try. Can we try?

Yesterday the rain came, And it felt so good, Quenching hot summer pain. So I smiled and walked outside feeling the rain touch me, And letting it heal me inside. But all the while I knew, All the while I knew That the rain came softly The rain came softly From you. Yesterday, you touched me Pouring love all over me, And today, where is the pain? All that’s left is soft rain. And this song of love To you.

Ephemeral 02:54
my love, was it of no consequence? a foolish fantasy? just a dream, ephemeral, that vanished from me? when you hold something ephemeral, in danger of going away, like a cloud drifting, ephemeral, it may only last one day. is that no matter of consequence? is that what people believe? is that no matter of consequence? because one day it may leave? I have a love ephemeral, ephemeral, ephemeral, and that is a matter of consequence , I think it is, Love is a matter of consequence, because it is.
